I have had many of you asking what exactly was wrong with my knee. I could write a short book explaining it, but I think the pictures say more than words. If this grosses you out, just skip to the next blog.

I personally think these pics are the coolest thing I have ever seen!

Dr. Weinstein went in arthroscopically to snip out the damaged meniscus.

What he found was quite a surprise!

The top left pic shows all the blood in the synovial joint space that is NOT suppose to be there.

The top right pic shows the bruised PCL.

He has no explination for either one.

The big surprise was that my meniscus is absolutely perfect - no tears!
However, the top left pic shows the underside of the patella. The cartilege was shredded. It is suppose to look as smooth as the bone across from it. The top right pic shows him cleaning it out.

This is the best the patellar cartilege is going to get!

So that's it. I am glad they were able to fix something!
