(Jason is typing and telling this story)

I was asked for the first time at work to set a concrete foundation for a sign we were going to install. I did all the prep work and was now ready to to pour the concrete. I ordered a whole truck full to come in for the pour. When he got there I suggested that we drive on the sidewalk so traffic can get around us, but the diver wanted to go across the lawn. I told him it was really soggy but he acted like it was no big deal. I figured he knew best! I was wrong!!! He backed up and immediately he sank two inches where his tires rolled across the ground. He got all ten wheels on the lawn and stopped to get out and check his position. By the time he got back in (5 minutes later) he had sunk nearly eight inches. He was stuck. He couldn't go back any further so he tried to rock the truck forward. He sunk up to a foot deep in some areas and was now sitting on his axles which were 2-3 in the dirt. TIME FOR A TOW TRUCK!!!! Here are the pictures of what happened.

These are the ruts the truck made in the lawn with the tow truck in the background.

This is the tow truck. It had to use BOTH it's winches and it was still pulling it's self backwards. Then he put down the outriggers and tried but only succeeded in pulling himself backwards again and peeling up the neighbor's asphalt. A third attempt was made and after more damage to the asphalt occurred the concrete truck finally came out. Well to shorten the story ( a little late now I suppose) I got blamed because the owner of the concrete company said it was company policy that the drivers NEVER drive on the grass unless requested by the customer. Of course he never asked his driver if I requested it or not and just assumed that I didn't and wouldn't hear otherwise. We agreed they would pay for the asphalt damage and we for the landscaping. Two days later they called us and said if we wanted anything at all from them to take them to court. So we paid for all of it. I can laugh at it now but it wasn't funny then. The place where this occured was Melcher's Mortuary which is active and in buisness during this whole procces. Lovely place to have a funneral with a cemente truck stuck in the front lawn!! Well the sign did get installed and I didn't get fired so alls well that ends well I guess, but what an ordeal!!
OK, I am blogged out! This is my last post for today... maybe. :-)
Last night we went to my parent's house and the girls painted their pumpkins with Papa.
We all watched "Evan Almighty" afterwards. It was a lot of fun!
Thanks Papa!

After months of hard work Jay finally got the rear axle swapped out.
Here's the "new" axle from the Chevy.
This is the old axle - you can tell how much smaller it is!
Perfect hight! Once we get some 34" tires on there it will be just right!
Notice the difference between the old front axle (still needs to be replaced) and the new rear!
Pure joy!

I love this pic! For a while Rachel would tell everyone she saw, "I am going to marry Rylan!" It didn't matter if they were strangers in the grocery store or whoever!
Rylan was teaching Rachel how to play games on pbskids.org.
So cute!

Girls' night - during Priesthood Session of Conference
Mom, Rachie, Jayne and Jessie
Me in all my glory - hahaha

This is what happens when daddy does the grocery shopping.
We have meals consisting of coconut milk and sonic.

Jayne drank all the milk then Jay put the coconut on the grill so he could get the meat out easier. Simple pleasures!

Cam went to Homecoming as a pirate - the theme was "A Pirate's Life for Me" or something like that. He was adorable!

Willie sporting the pirate spirit

Jo and EmmaLee came over and hung out with us one night.
EmmaLee Tiny, Jayne, Jo and Rachel
Don't they all look alike? I think my girls look like Jo's kids.
Baby hungry? Maybe a little bit.

6:30 AM Thursday September 20th
Meg and the anesthestiologist (no she's not a model)
I wish I knew her name - she was AMAZING!
Yes, I know I look way to excited before surgery, but I learn a lot and it really is interesting to me. Call me sick if you want - it's who I am!
Putting the nerve block in

X marks the spot!

Jayne got ahold of the camera when we were all hanging out at my parent's house the week before Josh's wedding.
Here are some of her beautiful shots!

Here are some pics of the house on the night before my surgery.
We finally had most of it cleaned up and organized after the huge mess from our renovation of our bedroom.
We moved the couch and it opened up the living room a lot. Thanks to Kalet and Catherine (my visiting teachers) who asked what they could do to help and ended up sweeping, mopping, moving furniture, etc. Way to go above and beyond in your friendship!
I don't know what was on my camera lens, but it's spotty - sorry!

Sunday singing time with Papa

This is the morning after Josh's wedding.
They girls were a wreck, but they were wearing their new dresses that Grandma Szabo made them.
Jayne's first school picture day!
Her pics turned out beautifully!
(I can't post them because they are copywrited)
My mom, myself and Rachel all share one love - books - and it all stems from this wonderful woman: my grandma.
Grandma Szabo has taught all of us to love learning and reading by her example.
I can't ever remember a day going by with my grandma without her sitting down at some point and reading.
Thanks Grandma - I love you!

When we were shopping for Josh's wedding dinner we saw Sister Henriquez at Walmart dressed in the exact same outfit as Rachel.
Of course I had to get a picture! I think it's so cute!

Jayne got to sing in a trio for the Primary Program with Sami and Isabelle Rowley on October 21st.
They sang beautifully and they looked fabulous in matching dresses.
(They all got to wear their Christmas dresses early)
They sang "I Know that Jesus Lives"
Jayne is a born Alto. She sang the whole song one octave lower than Sami and Bel.
Just like her mommy! :-)

Jayne's second poem of the year:

Humpty Dumpty, a Nursery Rhyme

She switched poems the morning she was due to recite it and she did great!

Way to go Jayne!!!

Jayne's first poem for the year:

Hickory Dickory Dock, a Nursery Rhyme

She got a perfect score when she did this in her Kindergarten class.

They memorize one poem every six weeks and recite it in front of the class.

Jayne and Rachel
They are either loving each other and BEST FRIENDS
OR
screaming, kicking and pulling each other's hair!
There's isn't really any middle ground with these two.
I was able to capture some of the loving moments and wanted to share them with you!

Jay tore the Jeep apart a little bit more last month.
I bought him a new hat that has the Jeep grill and says, "Only in a Jeep"
It's awesome!
