Rachel's response to everything is "Awesome!" Since the first day of kindergarten when she gets home and we ask how was school the answer is "Awesome!" Back in August Rachel took a spill in PE and her front teeth went partially through her top lip. She had a horrible nose bleed as well. Her dress was covered with blood and it took 20 minutes for the PE teacher to get it controlled enough to take her to the nurse. He said it was the worst mouth injury he has experienced. When Rachel came home that day, her lip was huge and she was bruised pretty good. I said, "How was school today Rach?" She looked up and said, "Not so awesome."

Rachel was so brave all night long. She refused pain meds and just hung out on the couch with some ice on her face. However, Jayne got a paper cut and flopped on the ground off and on for two hours because I wasn't "treating her with the proper attention she deserved". I am not kidding. She is such a drama queen. She finally calmed down when we found the neosporin and wrapped it up like a big laceration. How can my children be so different?

One more funny story...
Rachel is in LOVE with Sara's boyfriend Jon. She just gave Sara a "great idea". "We can make some cookies with a big chocolate chip in the middle and little ones all around and then give them to Jon and he will know they are from BOTH of us!" She thinks she will steal him away.

We got home last night from my mom's friend's house (her 16 year old son had part of his toe removed due to a staph infection and she asked me to come help her pack the wound - she is a nurse... pictures to come!) and Sara and Jon were watching the girls. Jayne ran outside and said that they had kissed a thousand times while we were gone. Jon's response was, "One thousand kisses... no more, no less." When we asked Rachel she denied everything. She wasn't going to squeal. They kissed twice just so you don't think they were really making out in front of my kids. (I am sure Sara is going to kill me for sharing this... too bad). For the rest of the night Jayne kept doing the "I am watching you" thing with her hands. SO funny!
