Jayne turned 7 in July!
Abby and Jayne

Johni, Kendra, Khandis, Kaidi, Kate, Rachel and Jayne

Jayne had a party in the morning with her friends and a party in the afternoon with her cousins!

The kids all jumped in the pool before I could get a group shot. Kristen and Laura's kids joined us for swimming and root beer floats. Jayne loved having her cousins come play!
Thanks everyone for making her birthday wonderful!
(Also a BIG thanks to Mom and Dad Abbott for spending the week before Jayne's birthday here and making it even more special! Sara too!)

Rachel's first day in Kindergarten
Jayne's first day in 2nd Grade

Meg (Health Assistant) & Charisse (Nurse)
We make a great team!
(We didn't even plan on wearing matching shirts.)
The Classic Franklin Bell pic!

Mommy's first day too!

The night before school started
Papa sent us to the "Peanut Place"
It's where he would have taken the girls if her were here.

Rachel's first day of school... and first time on the bus!

Kumiko watches my girls for me and the girls LOVE her and her kiddos.

My New Ride

Jay has a job in Phoenix now so he takes my Jeep to work and I ride the "pooter" to work.
I love it! I cruise down McKellips going 30mph. It is so fun!
Thanks Mom and Dad Bowman for letting us borrow the scooter.
We celebrated Grandma Clifford's 86th Birthday last weekend at the Citadel. She was so alert and happy... it was wonderful! Grandpa was getting a little racey...luckily most of the kiddos were gone by the time she opened presents. :-)
It was hysterical! We had a fantastic time!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!
We love you!!!!!

My brother Josh (3 years younger than me) graduated from Univ. of Phoenix a few weeks ago with his Bachelors in Health Administration. He is going to start his masters program soon. I am so proud of him! Mom and Dad came with Sara so the whole gang was there. We had a great time!

Justin, Dyan's brother, wore a suit to Josh's associates ceremony and wore shorts and a t-shirt this time. My dad was teasing him that when Josh gets his masters Justin will probably show up in a swim suit. Justin's response was, "Let's hope Josh doesn't get his doctorate." Justin always makes me laugh. Single ladies... he is available. Just putting that out there. :-)

Josh decided to present his stole to Mom and Dad. It's a tradition to pass the thing you wear around your neck (stole) to someone who has helped you and inspired you to accomplish your goals. Josh asked me to help him frame it in a shadow box with a picture of him and mom and dad with a quote and the explanation/dedication. It didn't take us long to realize this task was pretty close to impossible without dad's help. Josh told Dad that he was doing it for Dyan. It was tricky and it totally worked. It was so fun at JoAnne's when Dad was suggesting things and Josh would casually ask, "Well do you like it?" We ended up with the most beautiful shadow box ever. It had layers between the mats and other things to "give it texture and layers". When Josh presented it Mom broke down into tears. It was beautiful.

My mom didn't finish her education, but she loves learning more than ANYONE I know. She went to BYU on scholarship and was in the top of her graduating class in HS. She was fluent in Italian and doing great at BYU when my dad came along. Like most young couples they couldn't both afford to go to school so she dropped out her sophomore year to support my dad and finally decided to go back about 12 years ago. It was too hard on our family and she had to stop again. She has given up her dreams for us over and over again. Having Josh dedicate this to her meant so much to her and all of us. Thanks mom for putting us first. I don't know how you did it all of these years. You are the most self-less person I know. I love you and will always love learning because of you!
