After five years of waiting and saving and dreaming, I got my Nikon D40 SLR Camera this month! It was my EMT Grad/Birthday present from Jay, my siblings and Jay's parents. I LOVE it! I decided to try it out in CA and took over 1000 pics in one week. At least that's after I deleted over 700 of them. I got a little carried away, but we have some beautiful pics of the beach. :-)

I took some pics of Kalet's baby girl, Adalyn Daisy on Friday. She is four weeks old. Of course she broke out with baby acne the day before we took the pics, her complexion has been perfect up until now. Her fire-red hair is definitely recessive. She is adorable!

Here are a few of my favorites:

The girls and I have been needing a change in our lives so Kalet took pity on us and gave us some unbelievably HOT haircuts!
Foxy Jayne
(She begged to have bangs again)

I figure my mom would get a kick out of this pose. She and Jay always tease me about looking so scary when I try to look sexy.

This is my first "real haircut". It has LAYERS... wooo... scary... for me at least.
Thanks Kalet! You are an angel.
Kalet says before I know it I will be high-maintanance... it all starts with layers.
Her shoe collection is looking better and better... hahaha.

HOT, HOT Rachie!

I am just putting a note out there for anyone reading this to keep Rachel in your thoughts and prayers this next week. She has had five bad nosebleeds this last week. The two yesterday were pretty severe. She started showing early signs of shock after the 8th 4x8 gauze pad was soked. It's so bad it's coming out of her mouth and she can't breathe. Pretty scary. She has an appointment with her ENT on Tuesday. I am just praying she doesn't have another one before then. Her insurance isn't great and we can't afford a trip to the ER right now.

Other than that, life is fantastic! Rachel is in good spirits. I was able to get her rehydrated and rested enough to be her normal crazy self today.

Have a great weekend!!! :-)

I am in the middle of so many projects right now that blogging is at the bottom of the list. I will give you a taste of what's to come soon...

We visited my parents in San Luis Obispo, CA. We had the best time ever!

I was hired this week as the new Health Assistant at Ishikawa Elementary School. Yipee!

Devestation is over. Happiness is abounding! We have been doing fine, for those of you who read my last post and have been wondering if we have curled up in the fetal position refusing to go on. Right after I posted last, I got called in for an interview with the head of Health Services for Mesa Public Schools. I took the clerical test Wednesday and was hired Thursday morning. I think it's my charm that did it. Or my fantastic looks. Maybe it was my mad skills. Or maybe they are desperate. I don't think it's the last one. Anyway, I will be interviewing at Carson Jr. High for the Health Assistant position. If I don't get that job (let's all pray that I do) then I will work as a full-time Traveling Health Assistant which is basically a substitute for the whole district, but it has benefits. Either way I am thrilled!

It's funny how you get all your plans laid out and have so many choices for God to pick and he picks something you never imagined could happen. I am so glad to throw away those plans. This one is definitely better!

I am debating whether to do paramedic school in the future or nursing school. I always swore I would NEVER be a nurse and yet, here I am. We will see how this year goes. I am all about enjoying the moment and loving what I do so this next year is going to rock!

The ultimate plan is for me to transfer to Franklin West once the Health Assistant retires. I can't wait to be back there. It's truly the BEST place to work ever.

I passed my EMT National Registry exam yesterday. That was HUGE. I feel so free now. It was weird not studying last night. I don't think I will be putting the books away. It's just too fun to learn.

Katie is calling me "EMT Meg". It's fun, but I am not sure how long that will last.

Kalet had her baby. I am so in love with little Adalyn Daisy. When I start to miss my parents and Jayne, I go to Kalet's house and hold her precious little miracle.

Life is moving along at a great pace and we are loving this summer. Rachel and I have had so much bonding time. It's been wonderful. Webkinz is a big part of our relationship as odd as that sounds.

Jay is home and we have a ton to do, so I am off!
Have a fantastic weekend!
Meg :-)
