Meg's Newest Adventure
I have decided to become a level 1 EMT. Why? So I can work at the school as the Health Assistant (Nurse's assistant). There aren't enough nurses in the Mesa Public School system so they are each assigned two schools. Health Assistants are at one school full time. I was asked by our school nurse to get qualified so I can work when our HA retires. I couldn't get into the program until January, but I will be busy adjusting to my new job as an All-Day Kindergarten Aide this semester so it's probably a good thing. I will take CPR for Health Care Providers in November and will be all set. I am pretty stoked! The Basic EMT program is one semester and I can take it all day Saturdays so I don't have to be gone more during the week. This is right up my alley! I laughed at the requirements for the program because I took the CPR for Health Care Providers six years ago... just for fun. I also already have most of the medical supplies - CPR breathing masks, stethescope and Pen light (with additional ear attachments). If you know me well enough, you will know that I just have these because I think everyone should. No matter what your are doing, they will eventually come in handy, right? All I need to buy is a pair of Trauma scissors - I haven't found a reason previously to purchase those. :-) hahaha
I am really excited and am loving my job right now. I could be an Aide the rest of my life and love almost every minute of it, but this new avenue seems a bit more my style.
Wish me luck!

Jayne turned 6 in July! It was her "family party" year, but she was dying to see her friends from school so we had a little swim party on the morning of her b-day. The Saturday after we had her Family Party at the bowling alley. We had an awesome time! Mimi, Papa, Sara, Cam, Daddy, Mommy, Jayne, Rachel, Jessie, Josh, Dyan, Justin, Parker and Kristi all came. We laughed so hard... especially at Justin (Dyan's older brother). He is so funny and the girls love him! After bowling we went to Mimi and Papa's for her b-day dinner. Cam can't believe that she would actually choose grilled chicken, green beans, corn, potatoes, etc. but that's my girl. I am very lucky to have great eaters. She got her new Ariat boots for school and she was thrilled. She has become a pretty easy kid to please lately which is nice considering the first five years of her life were pretty rough that way. :-)

We love you Jayners!

Josh graduated with his Associates from University of Phoenix last month. We all went to University of Phoenix Stadium (Cardinals Stadium) in Glendale for the ceremony. It was really fun. Rachel had something with red dye at a friends house and she was off the wall crazy all night long. All of Josh's family was there (Dyan, Justin, Parker & Kristi) with a few friends and all of us were there. Congrats Josh - we love you!

Last month we all went to spend some time with Grandma Clifford before church. She is still at the Citadel after breaking her hip in June. She isn't doing well and it's hard to see her and Grandpa suffer so much, but the girls bring a smile to her face.
We love you Grandma!

Jason took the girls out to the little field by our house to play t-ball. They were really good, especially Jayne. That night, Jay was tucking Jayne into bed and he told her that if she wanted to play t-ball or soccer or basketball all she had to do was tell us and we would sign her up to play on a team. He said she could do whatever she wanted. She looked up at him and said, "Really Daddy?" "Of course," he said. "What about Golf?" Silence. "Golf?" "Yes." More silence. "You know, Golf, like Rachel played on her birthday." Jay told her that she could be a professional Minature Golfer and we would support her all the way. When he told me I just though, "Why? Why don't we have cyclists like Jay or ball players like me? Why dancer and golfers?" When I found out it was Mini-golf I was quite relieved. We will support our kids in whatever they choose to do, but it would be nice to have a clue about the sports they choose. :-)
